You hold everything together. Who holds you?

There are six ways a woman learns to stop asking for what she needs. Find out which one is yours, what it is quietly costing you, and what you most need to hear.

24 short statements. No right or wrong answers. Your result appears straight away.

Does this sound like you?

She is the strong one. That is exactly the problem.

Armour is not the same thing as strength. A grounded woman does not need to be loud to be heard.
From Chapter 3

You are the one people lean on. You hold the home, the job and the family together, and you do it so calmly that nobody thinks to ask if you are okay.

  • You say “I’m fine” before anyone has finished asking.
  • You would rather do it yourself than explain what you need.
  • You rest only when you are ill, and even then you feel guilty.
  • You give and give, then feel invisible, and then feel bad for feeling it.
  • Sometimes it all comes out at once, louder than you meant, and you do not recognise yourself.

None of this means something is wrong with you. It is a pattern you learned early, because it kept you safe. But a pattern you cannot see keeps running in the background. A pattern you can name is one you can change.

The quiz from Chapter 3

Which Woman Are You?

Read each statement and answer with your first reaction, not the answer you wish were true. The automatic version of you is the one that shows where the pattern still lives.

One concern · two responses · six women

Every one of them learned that asking was risky.

What makes them different is how each one responds: some go quiet, and others over-give. You may see yourself in one, several or none. The six women are my own reflective framework, not a diagnosis.

Is this book for you?

Written for the woman everyone else relies on.

This book is for you if

  • You are tired in a way that sleep does not fix.
  • You are the eldest, the reliable one, or the one who “has it handled”.
  • You find it easier to give help than to receive it.
  • You want to ask for what you need without guilt and without shouting.
  • You want something practical, not just inspiring.

It may not be for you if

  • You want a quick fix with no reflection or writing.
  • You are looking for therapy. This book supports professional help but does not replace it.
  • You are not ready to look honestly at your own patterns yet. That is okay too. Come back when you are.

About the author

Beke Cynthia Ogbaide

Beke grew up in Nigeria and now lives in the UK with her husband and three boys. Her career has crossed fashion, data governance and now AI infrastructure and governance, and she is building a fragrance brand that is close to her heart.

She was the girl who went quiet, and later the woman who swung into loud. This book is what she learned on the way back to the middle: clear, grounded and able to ask. She believes patterns are real, and that the present is the key to the past, and the past to the present.

Questions

Good to know

Is the workbook a separate book?

No. The Complete Edition includes the whole 30-Day Workbook at the back, so you only need one book.

Is this a Christian book?

Beke writes as a woman of faith, and some chapters use Scripture, including a full chapter on how faith language can keep women quiet. Women of any faith, or none, will still find the patterns, stories and scripts useful.

Do I need to take the quiz first?

No, but it helps. Chapter 3 includes the same self-assessment, and if you take the quiz first you can start reading with your result in mind.

When can I get the book?

Very soon. It will be available in paperback and on Kindle through Amazon. Join the waitlist and you will be the first to know the day it is out.

Does Beke speak at events or offer coaching?

Yes. Beke speaks at churches, women’s groups, conferences and workplaces, and offers one-to-one coaching. Get in touch through the enquiry form.
